Elektra

Elektra is a one-act opera by the German composer Richard Strauss, with a libretto by Hugo von Hofmannsthal. The story is an adaptation of the Greek tragedy of the same name by Sophocles concerning Elektra the daughter of King Agamemnon, although Strauss provided a score quite apart from his contemporaries in its modernist leanings, presenting the horrors of the story in comparison to Sophocles’ original tragedy. This Vocal score contains an arrangement for Vocals and Piano accompaniment.
