A sound mind in an unsound body

A renowned neurosurgeon has a terrible accident; he becomes quadriplegic. What a catastrophe! Not so fast; he has a near-death experience that changes his perspective on life and death. He wakes out of his coma embraced by a caregiver for whom he had concealed feelings that turned out to be reciprocal and profound. They both accepted his condition, while not giving up hope of a complete recovery. In the meantime, they express their love to each other in flesh and in spirit. He gets an annulment from a first forced marriage, and his beloved becomes his new wife and the mother of his kid.
