The Church is not always right; it needs a resurrection, with God’s help and the active participation of both the laity and the clerics. Our Catechism needs to be rewritten to capture the essence of Christ’s teachings; mysteries and dogmas need to make sense. They need to be explained or revoked. The metaphoric, symbolic language needs to be re-examined and justified. Priests, Sunday School teachers and catechists need to be reformed. We need a theological revolution while maintaining the essence of our religion and admitting that the Scriptures were written for a time that evolved and that they include hyperbole and certain inconsistencies. They need to be interpreted to make sense in a different age rather than to be accepted literally, word for word; in fact, this was the main reason for Jesus to have talked in Parables. This book is respectfully critical of the Church and its teachings by a practicing Christian, seeking to get back Christians – particularly our youth – into the fold, with God’s help.
