HRANT AN ARMENIAN'S ODYSSEY

Just before his fourth birthday, the Turks decide to eliminate the Armenian population in the Ottoman Empire. Hrant becomes one of the rare survivors of that monstrous genocide. The path of his Exodus is traced in multiple and difficult stages from the Anatolian Plains in Turkey to Nice on the French Riviera. Despite the unspeakable misery that he expérienced, this individual has chosen to tell us his extraordinary story with a positive attitude, free of self-pity. For him, optimism and « joie de vivre » are the fundamental tenets that assure the survival of his people. Hrant’s story is also an admirable example of cultural assimilation and integration.
