In its 200 years of existence, the Legion d'honneur has not lost any of its prestige. This institution, founded in 1802 by Bonaparte, First Consul, is depicted here: its history, its functioning, its legionnaires, its educational institutions, and its museum. Under its still current motto, Honour and Fatherland, Legion d'honneur has spanned all political regimes. It still rewards outstanding merits today.
