Confinement

Confining is a primitive and symbolic dimension of the highest importance: indeed, the covering is presented as the revival of a powerful archaic ritual presiding over the rebirth of a new society and the purification of its members. Prehistoric archaeology indeed testifies that numerous new societies were built by incorporating immured living men or animals. This mechanism for the rebirth of a new society explains the mimetic power with which it spread from East to West.
