Seli and Maggie...is a memory and a tribute to a mother. The book is an evaluation of a short-lived mother-daughter relationship set within an African socio-cultural context where children are brought up by parents other than their own. The impacts of schooling and climbing high, spirituality, life experiences in general, etc. are evoked as priceless in this narrative, coupled with the lack of a mother's affection which latter leaves scares in a nostalgia that seems to last eternally.
