The Second conference devoted to the Archaeology of East Anatolia was convened online between the 23rd and 25th of April 2021. This volume contains the revised versions of nine papers from this event. Their time range is from prehistoric until the end of the Iron Age. Themes are various, ranging from abstract concepts such as symbolism to artefact-based studies, papers dealing with production processes, and architectural developments as well as archaeometric results and the involvement in the interpretation process of the archaeological materials. The introduction to the volume lays on the table the administrative and visional shortcomings of the Turkish Ministry of Culture. Bureaucratic problems facing archaeology, and the current status and the scientific level of the archaeology of eastern Anatolia were discussed. A body of new information and ideas makes this volume a valuable survey of archaeological discourse on eastern Anatolia.
