Songs of the Lights

Firefly Song attempts to capture the essence of the winking and ever-transforming miniature starscape of the Ojibway text. Points of instrumental and vocal color (in the form of trills, triadic sonorities, tone clusters, closely overlapping imitative entries) and frequently changing moods are intended to echo the dance of the “flitting, small-fire beasts.”
