Sunday, November 4, 2012. Start of this book’s writing. I am approaching the last part of my life. Everywhere, I can notice that the memory of the best martial arts master of all the times persists. There is undoubtedly a reason with that. Where does it come from? In the progress of the man? In his honesty with which he undertook everything? In his technical level. In the fluidity of his practice? In 1975, when Armand Jammot (scriptwriter, producer, dialogue writer) devoted to him a broadcast in his programme “Les Dossiers de l’Ecran” broadcasted on French Television channel “Antenne 2”, between 1967 and 1991, one of the speakers said : “Bruce Lee was a good technician, probably of the level of an excellent second dan. It is true, in front of the camera he had all the time to choose some gestures repeated and connected to perfection, but that was only a show. We didn’t know exactly his real value because we had never seen him in competition… But was there only on the TV tray, a Dan Inosanto, a Taky Kimura, a Steve McQueen who really knew Bruce Lee in everyday life ? No ! ”
